Proper care extends the life of your clothing and accessories and keeps colour, shape and softness intact. Follow the instructions below along with those on the inner label of each product.
Cotton garments (t-shirts, shirts, sweatshirts)
- Machine wash at a maximum of 30°C, delicate cycle, inside out to protect any prints.
- Reduced spin (800 rpm maximum).
- Air dry; avoid the tumble dryer where possible (it reduces shrinkage and keeps the fibres soft over time).
- Iron at medium temperature (two dots maximum), inside out where there are prints.
- Do not bleach. Do not dry clean unless the label says otherwise.
Wool and fine knitwear
- Hand wash in cold water with a detergent made for wool, or use the wool cycle (30°C maximum, very gentle spin).
- Do not wring: remove the water by pressing with a towel.
- Dry flat on a clean surface, away from direct heat.
- Store folded, never on a hanger, so the weight does not distort the shoulders.
Jeans and denim
- Wash as little as possible (every 5-7 wears) to preserve colour and fibres.
- Wash inside out at 30°C maximum, with similar jeans to avoid colour transfer.
- No bleach. Air dry.
- For the first wash we suggest washing them on their own: the colour may run in the first one or two washes.
Leather (jackets, belts, wallets, shoes)
- Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Never immerse in water.
- Every 3-6 months apply a nourishing leather cream (colourless or matching the piece) in circular movements.
- Store in a dry place, away from heat sources (radiators, direct sun).
- For leather jackets: hang on wide shaped hangers, never narrow or wire ones.
- For stubborn stains: go to a professional leather specialist, never use household solvents.
Shoes (sneakers, city footwear)
- Clean the outside with a soft brush and a diluted neutral detergent; rinse with a damp cloth.
- Never machine wash (it damages the adhesive and the stitching).
- Air dry, away from heat. Fill the inside with paper to hold the shape.
- For new white leather sneakers, use a water-repellent protector before the first wear.
- Rotating your shoes (not wearing the same pair two days running) extends their life noticeably.
Accessories (watches, sunglasses)
- Watches: avoid knocks and contact with soap or perfume. The steel case is water resistant to 3 ATM (everyday use, rain); do not submerge it in a pool or the sea unless stated otherwise.
- Leather strap: keep it dry. It can be replaced by any watchmaker.
- Sunglasses: clean the lenses with the microfibre cloth supplied. Never use paper or rough fabrics, which scratch.
Technical fabrics (backpacks, outdoor pieces)
- Spot clean with a damp cloth and neutral soap for surface marks.
- Machine washing is allowed at 30°C on a delicate cycle, but first remove any detachable straps and empty all pockets.
- Air dry, never in a tumble dryer.
- To restore the water repellency of outdoor backpacks, renewing sprays are available from specialist retailers.
Storing out of season
Wash and dry everything thoroughly before putting it away. Store in a dry, ventilated wardrobe with natural moth repellents (lavender, cedar). Wool pieces should be folded, never hung. Shoes should be stored with paper inside, in their original box or in cotton bags.
